Ernest Borgnine To Receive SAG's Life Achievement Award

Hollywood living legend Ernest Borgnine will receive the Screen Actors Guild's most prestigious accolade. Read on for details! The Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment is given annually to an actor who fosters the "finest ideals of the acting profession." Borgnine will receive the award at the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday January 30, 2011 live on TNT and TBS -- six days after he turns 94. "Whether portraying brutish villains, sympathetic everymen, complex leaders or hapless heroes, Ernest Borgnine has brought a boundless energy which, at 93, is still a hallmark of his remarkably busy life and career," says SAG National President Ken Howard. "It is with that same joyous spirit that we salute his impressive body of work and his steadfast generosity."
