The 2012 Grammy Awards became the Adele Awards Sunday.
The British chanteuse went six for six, collecting every one of the awards for which she was nominated, including top honors for album, record and song of the year.
As she tearfully accepted album of the year for 21, she professed gratitude. "It's been the most life-changing year," the 23-year-old said, wiping her eyes.
Led by hit singles "Someone Like You" (best pop solo performance) and "Rolling in the Deep," the album was inspired by "a rubbish relationship," she joked.
She also offered a searing performance of "Rolling in the Deep", her first live public performance since being silenced by a hemorrhaged vocal cord last year.
Among Adele's other wins: best pop vocal album and best short form music video. Who else won the hardware at the 54th annual event Sunday night?
