Many hot young athletes are focused on letting loose during their rare free time, but Jeremy Bloom is more interested in paying it forward than partying. Inspired by his close relationship with his beloved grandmother, the two-time Olympic skier founded Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime Foundation in 2008 to make dreams come true for senior citizens around the country. “Our goal is to build awareness around respecting our elders,” the 29-year-old, who was also drafted by the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, tells In Touch. “It seems like a very basic principle, but we've gotten away from it so much.”
A recent wish the brown-eyed hunk fulfilled in partnership with Brookdale Senior Living? Introducing 84-year-old Shirley Smallwood to her favorite celebrity, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek. “Shirley has been blind since birth, but she listens to Jeopardy! every day,” Jeremy explains of the Florida-native, who lives in the Grand Court Tampa assisted living community. “Her life-long dream was to meet Alex Trebek, so we brought her to the show. She was over the moon!”
