Trading in her medical garb for her own comfy clothes, Kristin Chenoweth has been released from Bellevue Hospital in New York City, New York on Thursday (July 12), just one day after getting knocked to the ground by a fallen lighting equipment while filming "The Good Wife".
In a statement released by the "GCB" star's rep, Jill Fritzo confirms, “Kristin has been released from the hospital and is home recovering. She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes.”
Moments before heading home, Chenoweth was spotted carefully moving around in the Intensive Care Unit wearing a neck brace.
As for what caused the injury, CBS issued a statement following the incident, explaining, "While filming a scene for The Good Wife in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place striking actress Kristin Chenoweth. All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery."
Lighting silk is a fabric that is used to deflect or modify artificial lighting or sunlight on a film set.
