Mariah Carey the American Idol Judge? It has kind of a nice ring to it but what are the odds it will actually happen? The hunt to find replacements for Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as judges on American Idol has begun. Actually the replacement rumors were out there even before the two said they were dunzo with the hit reality show. However now that there are two open slots at the judges table some big names are being thrown out there as possible contenders. The latest to join that mix is none other than Mariah Carey. US Weekly is reporting that the Carey is in serious talks with AI to be a judge on the upcoming 12th season. The magazine further states that Mariah and the powers that be at AI are very close to making a deal. However her husband Nick Canon begs to differ a little bit.
